The first three generations are the same for these two participants.

John Parker Moore was born about 1765 in Virginia. His father and mother are unknown, but he had, at least, a brother,
James, and sisters, Elizabeth, Mary "Polly" and Nancy. John married Milley Redmond and they had children: Tavenor B.,
Mary, Sarah Ann, Abner Senter, Rachel Redmond, Abraham, Issac C., and Jacob. By 1790, John Parker Moore is listed in
Carter Co., TN and remained there until about 1803 when he purchased land in Buncombe Co., NC. In 1820 he was in
Haywood Co., NC. In 1838 he is residing in Rabun Co., GA, and in 1850 he is back in Macon Co., NC where he died in
about 1858. He and his wife are both buried in Franklin, NC at the Sugar Fork Baptist Church Cemetery.
- John and Milley's son, Abraham Moore, was born 27 Dec 1806 in Buncombe Co., NC and died in 1881.
He married Lydia Stewart who was born in 1807 and died in 1878.
- Their son, Andrew Jackson Moore, was born in 1827 and died in 1919. He married Mary Catharine "Katie" Holbrook
who was born in 1841 and died in 1918.

- Their son, Andrew Jackson "Jack" Moore, Jr., was born in 1874 and died in 1969. He married Orphia Jane
McDowell who was born in 1883 and died in 1970.

- Andrew and Mary Holbrook Moore's son, John Marion Moore, was born 29 Jan 1875 in Ellijay, Macon Co., NC and
died 8 Jun 1963
in Macon Co., NC. He married Ida Elmira
Bryson on 14 Oct 1906 in Cullasaja, Macon Co., NC. She was born on 25 Aug 1884 in Macon co.,
NC and died there 10 Sep 1973.
