Rodeham Moore is the Moore patriarch of a long line (15,000+) of Moore descendants, who have formed their own association, The Rodeham Moore Descendants Association, whose pre-1900 family tree can be reached on their website at www.RodehamMoore.com. Rodeham's parents and siblings are unknown to the family, and the subject of intense family research.
According to his old tombstone, Rodeham Moore was born in 1744 and died on 4 June 1811, most likely in his 1810 censused home in Surry Co., NC., and was buried on his son William's land just over the state line in Patrick Co., VA in the Rodeham Moore Cemetery. His birthplace, parents, and siblings are unknown.
He married Elizabeth Gallahue in about 1770. She was born in 1752 and died in 1825 and is buried in the Dickson-Moore Cemetery in Mooresburg , Tennessee.
They had 8 children - William (1771-1819), Hugh G. (ca1780-1842), Galehew (or Gallahue) (1787-1854), John (ca1782-1822), Cleon (1789-1852), Ewell (ca1791-1844+), Elizabeth Moore Yoe (1797-ca1865), and Sarah (or Sallie) Moore Williams (1799-1853). All were born in either Patrick County, VA or adjoining Surry County, NC.

Rodeham's first son, William Moore, (1771-31 May 1819), married Jane Dalton Hanby (1783-1817) on 13 Dec 1798. They had nine children all born in Patrick Co., VA.
- Their son, Alfred Cleon Moore, was born on 12 Dec 1805, and married Anne Frances Kent on 9 Mar 1830. They had children eight children. Alfred 1 is buried in Wythe Co., VA.
- Their son, William Orville Moore, was born 17 Feb 1841and died on 3 Oct 1913 in Wytheville, VA. He married, first, Adeline P. Jones on 29 October 1867 , who died in 1871. He married, second, Alice Page Taylor on 28 Oct 1872.
- William and Alice's son, Alfred Cleon Moore II, was born in Wythe Co., VA on 7 Mar 1879, and married Eleanor Atkinson Ford on 28 Apr 1921. He died on 25 Apr 1928, having issued only one child, Alfred Cleon Moore III.

- Rodeham's 2nd son, Hugh G. Moore, was born ca 1782, and married Rebecca Smith Creed around 1806, and they had 5 children. Rebecca died about 1817, and Hugh remarried to Mary Hill, and they had 8 more children.
- Hugh and Mary's son, James Madison Moore, was born on 29 Jan 1810, and married Mary Barsheba Whitehead Cobb on 3 Feb 1842. They had at least 12 children.
- Their son, Jesse Hopkins Moore, was born on 7 Dec 1844, and married Anna Hanna on 5 April 1877. They had 4 children.
- Their son, Jesse Cobb Moore, was born on 22 May 1878, and married Mary Louise Royal on 23 Dec 1903. They had at least 5 children.
- Their son, Thomas Hugh Moore, was born on 20 Sept 1918, and married Clara Cope on 24 May 1941, and they had two children.

- Rodeham's 3rd son, John Moore, was born ca 1782, and married Elizabeth Williams about 1809. They had at least 9 children.
- Their son, John Williams Moore Sr., was born on 12 Feb 1815, and married Harriett Rachel Lebow on 25 Aug 1840. They had at least 8 children, one of whom was John Williams, Jr.
- Their son, John Williams Moore, Jr. was born on 19 Feb 1848 , and married Sarah Elizabeth Raigin on 11 Nov 1866.
- Their son, William Robert Moore, had at least one son.
- John & Harriet's son, George Williams Moore, was born on 21 Mar 1823, and married Marjaner (Margie) Narcissis Cocke on 10 Mar 1846. They had at least 10 children.
- Their son, Thomas Cocke Moore, was born on 6 Aug 1851, and is alleged to have married Margiana Creed on an unknown date.
- Their son, Charlie W. Moore, had at least one son.

- Rodeham's 5th son, Cleon (Clarin) R. Moore, was born 8 July 1789, and married Margaret "Peggy" Creed on 22 December 1812. They had at least 6 children.
- Their son, William Henry Harrison Moore was born on 22 Feb 1814, and married Julia Ann Smith. They had at least 8 children.
- Their son, Cleon Roadman Moore, was born on 19 Aug 1843, and married Sarah Ann Petty on 11 Nov 1866. They had at least 11 children.
- Their son, Ellis Cox Moore, was born 20 June 1889, and married Lillian Burchfield. They had a son, Daniel Ellis Moore, Sr., who was born on 11 May 1919, and he married and had two sons.

- Rodeham's 6th child, Ewell Moore, was born c. 1791, married Nancy Emily Creed (born 2 Jan 1797) on 3 March 1812, and they may have had as many as 10-11 children.
- Their son, Alexander Gardiner Moore, was born 25 August 1821, and married Ruth Ann Williams on 3 Sept 1851.
- Their son, John A Moore, was born 24 Nov 1854 and died on 18 Mar 1894 in Polk County MO. He married Sarah Ann Bewley on 13 Jan 1878, who died 02 Dec 1896.
- Their son, Joseph Walter Moore, was born in Polk Co., MO on 03 Feb 1886, married Sally Hutcheson, and died on 27 Dec 1972.
- Alexander and Ruth's son, George Thomas Moore, was born 27 Jan 1872, and married Mary L. Roach about 1900.
- Their son, Guy Thomas Moore, was born 11 July 1901, and married Effie May Wilson 15 Sept 1923.
- Ewell and Nancy's son, Wilson Creed Moore, was born 10 Jan 1817. He married, first, Mary Humble Craig on 24 Jan 1841 and, second, Elizabeth Humble Craig ca.1845.
- Wilson amd Mary's son, Euel Agustus Moore, was born 23 October 1843 in MO and married, first, Anna Laura Herndon on 7 January 1866. They had six children.
- Their son, George Penn Moore, was born 9 September 1874 in Howard Co., MO. He married Ida Amelia Henderson on 9 October 1895 in Randolph Co. MO. They had five children.
